Anime News Network has released a list of the 2009 Top Anime Films in the Japanese Box Office, and Detective Conan: The Raven Chaser was #3 on the list, setting a franchise record for being the highest grossing film, raking in 3.5billion yen ($37.5million). The other top two films were Pokémon: Arceus and the Jewel of Life, which raked in 4.67billion yen ($50.2million) and Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance, raked in 4billion yen ($43million). The Raven Chaser did fairly well in the box office last year, which we suspected it to be the highest grossing DC film in which we were correct.

I’ve been waiting to see this film for a year, and I finally saw the film the day after Christmas.
